So September was a really busy month. As I mentioned, I was helping with a medical brigade from 8.28 until 9.4. Then I was home for 2 days before I left again for a work conference from 9.7 to 9.11. Then back home again for 9 days before my parents and brother arrived for a visit and we traveled to Roatan for a beach vacation. Ok, not exactly exhausting but still it was a lot of moving around. Plus once I got back I moved into my own place (finally – more on this later).
So back to the work conference: obviously there is real, relevant training. But at the same time, it is usually the first time that our training group has all gotten together in months. And for some of us, it is the first time being around other Americans in a long time too. Needless to say, we “gringo” it up pretty hard when we can.
Sorry for the dark video but check out the near-comeback.
