To the thousands of Hondurans who read my English-language blog I apologize if you feel slighted.
We in the US have some strange traditions. I’m not entirely sure why we would choose to hard boil something that we otherwise would eat and then paint it once a year in the hopes that a bunny would be interested. At least if it was a chicken that would be a little more logical . . .
But Honduras has one-upped us. They don’t waste time with the egg, they go straight to the bird.
Honduras, you have outdone yourself. Congratulations.


Brett, I saw these all throughout my childhood at the ferias… it was pretty common. The poor things never live for more than a few days. Funny (but not really) that this is still happening…
