Did I just blow your minds? Yes – here in Honduras this is possible.
Last month we had a week straight of rain with Tropical Storm Agatha (story here) and this past weekend we had Tropical Storm Alex (by the way, once you use an A-name for a storm aren’t you supposed to move on to B?).
My family constructed a room specifically for me when I got here – apparently the work on the roof wasn’t so good. So when it rains hard there is a drip in the room that is unfortunately located right above the foot of the bed on one side.
This was a tricky one to figure out – sleep on the dry side of the bed and hope that you don’t roll over in your sleep? Nope. I went for using the sleeping bag on top of the covers.
At the same time all the flooding has clogged the pipes – so while I am soaked from the rain I can’t take a shower. Not that it would be a hot shower anyways . . .
